About Joe

Joe is a Registered Psychologist who works with adult men across a range of backgrounds and life stages. He has a particular interest in supporting men to better understand themselves, manage challenges, and make meaningful changes in their lives.

He brings a calm, thoughtful and collaborative approach to therapy, creating a space where clients feel comfortable being open and honest; often about things they haven’t spoken about before.

Joe has a strong academic background, including a PhD and experience as a university lecturer. He integrates this analytical foundation with practical, down-to-earth support, helping clients build insight, increase self-awareness, and develop strategies that actually translate into day-to-day life.

Joe has experience assisting clients with a range of mental health challenges, including:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Addictive behaviours (substance use, gaming, gambling, pornography)
  • Anger and frustration
  • Stress management
  • Grief & Loss
  • Life transitions
  • Relationship difficulties

Joe works with adults aged 18 and over.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his partner and young daughter, mountain biking, birdwatching and reading. Before training as a psychologist, Joe completed a PhD in Philosophy in the United States and worked as a university lecturer in Chicago and rural Illinois.
