Andrew is a Registered Psychologist and experienced psychotherapist who works with adult men of all ages at our Hawthorn clinic and Australia-wide via telehealth.
Andrew is known for creating a safe, warm, and trusting therapeutic environment, recognising that a strong therapeutic relationship is often the foundation for meaningful and lasting change. He tailors his approach to the unique needs, experiences, and goals of each client, offering emotional attunement, empathetic understanding, authentic collaboration, and genuine care throughout the therapeutic process.
Andrew works thoughtfully with the cognitive, emotional, and behavioural aspects of his clients’ lived experiences, helping them develop greater awareness, insight, and understanding of themselves. He explores the function and historical origins of these patterns, considering how they may have adapted, persisted, or become unhelpful over time, while supporting clients to move toward new experiences, perspectives, and possibilities.
Drawing from both professional and lived experience, Andrew integrates a range of evidence-based approaches into his work. He supports clients experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, low confidence and self-belief, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, grief and bereavement, life transitions and adjustment challenges, as well as addiction and trauma-related concerns.
Andrew holds a Master of Professional Psychology and a Bachelor of Psychological Science (First Class Honours) from La Trobe University. He is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists and the Australian Institute of Emotion Focused Therapy.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family, watching films, reading biographies and books about art, playing music, and spending time on the coast.
